“ The Chinese food offered here is the best I've had in the Hudson Valley, and I'm not alone in my sentiments! The boneless spareribs are not your usual stringy, sweet, and sometimes even slimy offering. It features delicious chunks of meat that have great flavor and are great as a combo with pork fried rice! Beef and broccoli could have used a bit more beef, as mine was 60/40 broccoli. Besides that gripe, the beef that is in the dish is flavorful and tender. The broccoli is sizable, crunchy flourettes that soak up that nice brown sauce that ties everything together. Wontons were soft and quite nice, and the broth was perfect! Get y'all some, I highly recommend it! ”

“ Service here is very speedy, let me tell you, the guy at counter was to the point and made sure he got your order right, asked if you needed utensils and sauces, plus was sure to thank you. The dim sum roast pork buns were delicious, pillowy buns, filled with savory BBQ pork, very rare to find a place that makes them, only the second place I know that does. For the daily specials menu section I like the concept since I know not everything can be on the lunch menu, but that section fills in the gaps. For triple delight in garlic sauce, all proteins, were cooked perfectly and I enjoyed there was even amount of meats, between the shrimp , chicken and beef. Veggies got treated well in the menu, plus plenty of garlic sauce. Now the pork fried rice, let me tell you, definitely will not order again and do white rice, I mean the rice was pretty bland and just overall it felt like a afterthought to them when making it and you can tell taste-wise. Otherwise this place is pretty solid and treats the community well. Definitely will have grab another pork bun when am over that way. ”

“ Chan's Peking is a staple family run Chinese restaurant located in Poughkeepsie right across from Vassar College. This is my family's go-to Chinese restaurant in the Poughkeepsie area and for good reason. This place serves up a variety of good, affordable Chinese-American food - my favorites is the #24 - the sesame chicken combo plate, but I have enjoyed everything I've ordered here. The portions are very reasonably size, the food is tasty, and the service is relatively quick. The ambiance is definitely not the best inside as it is usually packed with people waiting for takeout and there is not a whole lot of seating so I would plan to follow suit with everyone else and order this to-go ahead of time. The service is relatively quick, and they do a great job managing when the lines get pretty nuts. Overall, a very solid choice for a takeout night for a date or for the family! ”
“ Delicious Chinese spot. A hometown favorite for good reason. All our staples are delicious here: fried rice, lo mein, seasame, kung pao, scallian pancake. I will say the last time we ordered fried vegetarian dumplings and they were sooooo off- definetly not fried and they were very bready/doughy almost like buns? Skip those but otherwise you've got a whole menu to chose from! ”
